Clare Saffrons hurling manager feels their upcoming Celtic Challenge campaign is an opportunity for players to maintain inter county involvement.

They commence the under 17 tournament against Limerick Treaty in their first of four round-robin games.

Running concurrently with the All-Ireland minor championship, it gives players outside that panel the chance to stay playing with Clare.
