SFC Round-Up: Kilmihil, Lissycasey and Éire Óg Into Quarter-Finals

Kilmihil delivered their best performance of the campaign as they ended the interest of Kilrush Shamrocks.

Goals from Ciaran Downes, David Egan, Dan Keating and a Sean Crowley brace gave Mark O’Connell’s side a 5-11 to 1-13 victory in Cooraclare.

Kilrush Shamrocks now enter the relegation play-offs.

Lissycasey are into a first senior championship quarter-final since 2016 after a seven-point victory over Corofin.

It finished 1-16 to 0-12 in favour of Ger Kelly’s team with Conor Finnucane’s goal settling the contest on the three-quarter mark.

Despite Robin Mounsey, Sean O’Brien and Jamie Malone converting, Corofin enter the bottom four battle.

And Éire Óg turned on the style in the second half of the other game at the county grounds to take top spot in Group 4.

Goals from Aaron Fitzgerald, Gavin Cooney and Mark McInerney ensured Paul Madden’s side their second win and they’ll be seeded for Monday evening’s draw.
