Clare’s senior football manager claims the new All-Ireland championship format was necessary even if he has reservations about the structure.

A new Tier Two competition will commence in 2020 featuring teams from the third and fourth divisions of the National League.

In order to be eligible for the All-Ireland qualifiers, the Banner must avoid relegation in Division Two, or make next year’s Munster Final.

Colm Collins tells Clare FM’s Syl O’Connor the League’s status has increased following Saturday’s GAA Special Congress decision.
