Decision To Have Sporting Events Back Behind Closed Doors A “Massive Blow”

Clare Camogie say the Government’s decision to force all sporting events back behind closed doors has come as “a massive blow”.

A maximum of 200 people had been permitted to attend matches across Clare and the rest of the country – this has now been rowed back following the government adopting the advice issued to them by NPHET.

All Clare GAA fixtures had been played behind closed doors up to now, but Clare Camogie were permitting supporters to attend games.

Meanwhile, the GAA has invited Acting Chief Medical Officer Ronan Glynn and NPHET (pr: Neff-fet) to meet with their COVID-19 Advisory Group without delay.

They want to see empirical evidence which led to reintroduced restrictions.
