Cooney Set For Re-Election At Clare GAA Annual Convention

Clare GAA will bring the curtain down on 2019 this evening with the Annual Convention.

O’Callaghan’s Mills’ Joe Cooney is the only candidate for chairman and will return for a fifth and final year.

There are three candidates for vice-chairman with the outgoing PJ McGuane of Cooraclare nominated alongside Neil O’Brien from O’Callaghan’s Mills and Ennistymon’s John Fawl.

Pat Fitzgerald, Michael Gallagher and Michael O’Connor will maintain their roles as Secretary, Treasurer and PRO respectively.

Proceedings begin in the Auburn Lodge Hotel from 6.30pm.
