Clare have come up just short against defending All-Ireland Champions Cork in the semi-finals of the Munster Under-20 Football Championship.

The Banner overcame a slow start in Miltown Malbay tonight, with goals from Emmet McMahon and Mark McInerney helping them to a 2-2 to 1-4 lead at the break.

The Rebels were stronger after half-time, however, and earned themselves a six-point advantage, and while Clare fought back, they still came up short on a final scoreline of 1-12 to 2-07 in favour of the visitors.
