Sunday's Munster quarter-final replay between Cork and Waterford has created fresh controversy surrounding penalties and close-range frees after Waterford goalkeeper Stephen O'Keeffe rushed off his line to block a penalty attempt from his counter-part, Anthony Nash.

The GAA says that their Management Committee will now recommend an interpretation of the rules to Central Council, ahead of this weekend’s games, including the meeting of Nash’s Cork and Clare.

Meanwhile, ahead of Sunday's game, a member of the Clare management team has spoken of the respect that has been earned by the county's senior hurlers.

While 2013 ended with All-Ireland glory for Davy Fitzgerald's side, it started with a first Munster Championship win with the county since 2008.

Clare selector Louis Mulqueen says making Clare competitive again had been a top priority.
