Four Away Days And Long Trips Face Clare In NFL 2014

Clare will play just three home games in next year’s National Football League, according to the competition’s proposed fixtures list.

The Banner County are set to begin their campaign away to Waterford on Sunday February 2nd, and finish on Sunday April 6th with a game away to Antrim.

In between there will also be trips to Tipperary and London in March, while Leitrim, Wicklow and Carlow will all make the journey to Clare to face the saffron and blue.

All of Clare’s games are pencilled for Sundays, with a three week break in February between Rounds 2 and 3.

Elsewhere, Cork footballer Noel O’Leary has announced his retirement . The wing back was part of the Rebels panel since 2000 and won an All-Ireland in 2010.

Mayo county board officials will meet manager James Horan next week to discuss the coming season. It’s being reported that Horan will stay on but may change his backroom team.
