A former Clare hurling captain says it is a brave call for the Banner to play Sunday’s Munster final in Limerick’s backyard, but feels they should have nothing to fear.
A sell-out crowd of 44,000 people is set to descend on the Ennis Road venue as the Shannonside neighbours clash in the provincial final for the second year running.
Both management teams are set to finalise their teams tomorrow evening for the game, with injury concern in either camp.
Pat O’Connor, who captained Clare in the 2017 and 2018 finals, has been telling Clare FM’s Derrick Lynch that while there will be a mutual respect between the sides, neither will back down.
