The North Clare outfit were paired with Kilrush in last night’s last eight draw, meaning the sides will do battle for a place in the semi-final in two weeks time.

Ennistymon boss Cathal Crowe says it promises to be an intriguing tie, and one they’re glad to be in.

The other confirmed last eight encounter is the game between Cooraclare and last year’s beaten finalists St. Joseph’s.

Cooraclare have avoided the likes of Kilmurry Ibrickane in the draw, but manager Dave Loughman says they still have a difficult encounter.

The other Quarter Final games have yet to be determined – champions Kilmurry Ibrickane will play Lissycasey, Cratloe or Liscannor, with the winners going on to take on either Ennistymon or Kilrush.

On the other side of the draw, Doonbeg will face Wolfe Tonse or Eire Og, with one of those sides then taking on the winners of the game between Cooraclare and Doora/Barefield.

The senior B draw sees Shannon Gaels againt Liscannor/Cratloe/Lissycasey while Eire Og or Wolfe tones will meet Clondegad

And the relegation play off will see Mitlown meet St Breckans while Kilkee mst face either Lissycasey or Cratloe.
