A decision on the Doonbeg/Coooraclare Quarter Final of the Clare Senior Football Championship has been deferred until tonight.
Clare’s Competitions Control Committee met this morning, after the game didn’t go ahead yesterday.
Cooraclare had sought a postponement following bereavement, and Doonbeg agreed to this but county board approval was not received.
However, Doonbeg then declined to accept a walkover offered to them after they were the only team to turn up to the fixture in Kilmihil.
The Magpies say they are willing to play the game on Saturday, though the winners of the tie are due to play LIssycasey in the semi-final that day.
A final decision is expected after a meeting tonight, with a county board spokesperson telling Clare FM that further clarifications are needed.
