Flyer’s Iniesta Last Clare Greyhound Standing In Kirby

Flyers Iniesta is the last Clare-owned greyhound left standing in the quarter finals of the richest puppy stake in the world.

The January 2019 pup, owned by Patsy Fitzgerald in Kilrush, was a length behind heat winner Envoi in a time of 28.62 seconds on Saturday night’s second round of the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stake.

Coolavanny Lilly, owned by Noel Hehir in Ennis, Rockalong Rocket of Michael McNamara in Tulla, and Bling Bling Paul, belonging to John Meehan of Newmarket-On-Fergus, all exited the competition at the second round stage.

Flyers Iniesta has been drawn in trap 2 of the first quarter final at Limerick Greyhound Stadium this coming Saturday, along with current overall favourite Explosive Boy.
