Dr Harty Cup Preliminary Quarter-Final: St Flannan’s College Ennis 0-14 (14) V John The Baptist Community School Hospital 1-07 (10)
St Flannan’s have made it to the last eight of the Dr Harty Cup.
The Ennis side overcame St.John the Baptist of Hospital , with four points to spare at the TUS campus in Moylish.
On a windy afternoon, the teams hit 19 wides between them, however at the interval, Flannan’s led by 0-07 to 0-04 with the Clarecastle dedicated full-forward line of Paul O’Connell, Harry Doherty and Conor Ralph to the fore.
Scores were at a premium throughout with Flannans only conceding 1-3 from play, with the John the Baptist Goal coming in the 55th minute.
This reduced the gap to two, but then up stepped Ruan’s James Cullinan and Ballyea’s Daniel Costelloe with the insurance scores.
