There’s been disappointment for St Flannan’s this afternoon, as the Ennis school have been knocked out of this year’s Harty Cup.
Flannan’s trailed West Waterford Colleges 1-07 to 0-07 at the break, and struck back five minutes into the second period with a Stephen Ward goal.
Despite an improved second half performance, however, they could not overcome their oppoisition – Colaiste ns nDeise ran out 1-13 to 1-12 winners.
Waterford had played the game with 14 men – Kiernan Power was sent off before the game began for an off the ball incident.
Waterford Colleges will now take on De La Salle Waterford in the semi-final, ater they beat Midleton CBS 2-12 to 0-7.
Ardscoil Ris will take part in the other semi-final, following a 2-15 to 1-7 win over Castletroy College, but the other team in the last four has yet to be decided.
Nenagh CBS held Thurles CBS to a 0-16 to 1-13 draw.
