The County’s Senior Hurling Club managers will meet with the Fixtures Committee in Clareabbey tonight to discuss how the championship will play out this year.
It’s all in a bid to avoid the fixtures back log club hurlers faced last year with the progression of the Senior Hurlers to an All Ireland Final replay, resulting in a 20 week break from round 1 to round 2.
A proposal has been put together by the fixtures committee which suggests having the group stages completed by the end of June. This would see Round 1 played out towards the end of April, round 2 in May, and round 3 on the final two weekends of June.
Tonight’s meeting in Clareabbey, comes ahead of another meeting tomorrow night in which Football Managers will be presented with a proposal for their competition.
