The fixture details for the opening round of the county senior hurling championship have been confirmed.
St Joseph’s Doorabarefield and Crusheen will have the honour of getting the championship underway on Satuirday evening in Cusack Park with champions Newmarket opening their defense of canon Hamilton on Sunday in Ennis at 1-30.
The race for the county senior hurling championship gets underway this weekend with 10 matches down for decison.
A double header in Cusack park on Saturday evening gets the action underway as 2010 and 2011 champions Crusheen meet St joseph’s Doorabrefield at 6 while at 7-30 Clarecastle take on Sixmilebridge.
Also at 7-30 in Clarecastle lasty year’s beaten semi finalits Clonlara meet Clooney quin.
In theB Championship the 2012 intermediate champions Ruan meet Eire Og at 6 in Clarecastle while at 7-30 in Sixmilebridge Scariff meet Wolfe Tones.
On Sunday Newmarket start the championship as champions for the first time in 31 years when they take on kKlmaley at 1-30 in Cusack park.
At the same time in Shannon, Tulla take on Tubber while at 3 in a repeat of last year’s semi final Cratloe take on Inagh Kilnamona in Cusack park.
