Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald has confirmed 2013 All Star Podge Collins is close to a return to the playing field.
The Cratloe man has been recovering from a cruciate injury, and hasn't played for Clare's hurlers since 2014.
The Banner continued their push for a return to the top tier of the Allianz League with a four point victory over Wexford, winning by 0-18 to 1-11.
It means Clare are unbeaten in 2016 so far, with games against Laois and Kerry to come before a showdown with Limerick in Cusack Park next month.
Fitzgerald says they're just concentrating on the next challenge
Limerick are also unbeaten so far in Division 1B, after they withstood a strong second half from Kerry to win by 1-19 to 1-15, while Offaly condemned Laois to a second straight defeat on a 1-17 to 0-15 scoreline.
