Fitzgerald Includes 12 All Ireland Starters In Team to Face Cats

Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald has named his starting fifteen for tomorrows Allianz Hurling League opener against Kilkenny, with 12 of last years All Ireland Final team included.

Crusheen's Donal Tuohy, and Sixmilebridge duo Seadna Morey and Shane Golden are the three new players in with Inagh Kilnamona goalkeeper Patrick Kelly, Clonlara's Domhnall O' Donovan and Cratloe All Star Podge Collins all making way.

Several positional switches are expected tomorrow, with the team named as follows.

Tuohy lines out between the posts, with Morey at corner back, Cian Dillion is named at full back, while David McInerney wears number 4.

It's last years half back line with Brendan Bugler, Captain Patrick Donnellan and Patrick O'Connor in their familar jerseys, while Conor Ryan and Colm Galvin continue as they All Star mid field pairing.

Golden is named at wing forward, with Hurler of the year Tony Kelly at centre forward, and John Conlon on the other wing.

Conor McGrath is named at full forward, with All Ireland Hatrick Hero Shane O'Donnell in the corner, last years championship top scorer Colin Ryan will wear the number 15 jersey completing the line up for the highly anticipated division 1A clash. 

Henry Shefflin has been included in the Kilkenny starting team for Sunday's Allianz Hurling League clash with Clare in Ennis.

Shefflin will join his Ballyhale Shamrocks club-mate Colin Fennelly and Eoin Larkin in an experienced half-forward line for the Cats.

Manager Brian Cody has continued to mix newcomers with some more experienced players with Jonjo Farrell, Mark Kelly and Walter Walsh forming a new-look full-forward line while team captain Lester Ryan and midfielder Cillian Buckley will be making their first starts of the year.
