Clare Manager Davy Fitzgerald has welcomed the three-week break for his men, ahead of their League semi-final, after what he described as a "lethargic" performance against Laois.
Despite playing against 14 men for more than half of the match, Clare couldn't shake off their dogged opponents, but eventually ran out 2-23 to 2-19 winners to set up an Easter Sunday semi-final against Tipperary.
Tipp secured their place in the last four by beating Cork 3-25 to 4-19.
Galway and Kilkenny contest the other semi-final, after overcoming Limerick and Wexford respectively.
Anthony Daly's Dublin staved off relegation, beating Waterford 4-13 to 1-17 at Walsh Park. The result means it's the Deise who play in Division 1B.
