County board chair Michael McDonagh is quoted as saying there will be no review of Fitzgerald's position, despite Clare's failure to reach an All-Ireland Quarter-Final.
Fitzgerald's has two seasons left to run on his current deal.
Meanwhile, Colm Collins is to remain in charge of the Clare senior footballers for another year, according to reports.
However, it's been confirmed that selector Ger Keane is to follow coach Ephie Fitzgerald in leaving the management setup.
