Clare’s unbeaten national football league campaign has come to an end with a disappointing four point loss to Tipperary.
Conor Sweeney goaled for the hosts with just 40 seconds on the clock, and from there on it was a game that the banner men chased.
At half time the Premier county had a 2 point lead at 2-05 to 0-09, with Clares scores coming through four points from David Tubridy, three from Shane McGrath and a brace from Martin O'Leary.
Points from Jamie Malone and O'Leary after the restart had it all square with 51 minutes on the clock, but the concession of another goal, this time from the boot of a Barry Grogan penalty, saw Tipp push on and by the final whistle it ended a 3-09 to 0-14 defeat.
Elsewhere in this afternoons division four league action, Leitrim remain unbeaten as they overcame Wicklow 1-17 to 0-11, Carlow had a narrow win over Antrim as that finished 3-15 to 2-17, and Waterford beat London 2-10 to 0-09.
