Doonbeg and Liscannor are putting the final touches to their preparations for this Sunday’s county senior football final.
The Magpies and the north Clare outfit meet in the decider following respective wins over Kilmurray Ibrickane and Cooraclare at the last 4 stage.
Liscannor have lost two finals in the past 10 years, but manager Martin Guerin says he side will have to make the experience count:
Sunday’s match is Doonbeg’s 27th county final with the club winning 17 of their previous final deciders.
The Magpies havn’t been in showpiece since 2001 and selector Declan Conway says history wil have no bearing on Sunday’s game:
Sunday’s final is preceded by the county U21 football championship final between Ennistymon and Lissycasey.
The championship resumed at semi final stage last month with Lissycasey overcoming Miltown while Ennistymon dethroned holders Cratloe.
