Final preparations ahead of Senior Hurling Championships

The countdown is on to the start of the County Senior Hurling championship which gets underway this Friday.

Holders Crusheen begin the defence of Canon Hamilton with a tie against Broadford while the other sides in the new A championship get underway on Saturday and Sunday.

Crusheen go in search of their third county hurling title in a row this Friday when they open up against Broadford.

The game is a repeat of last year’s county q-final which Crusheen won easily.

Sixmilebridge begin their championship campaign against neighbours Cratloe in a repeat of last year’s county semi final while also at Cusack Park Kilmaley meet Clarecastle.

Also on Saturday Clonlara begin their championship against St Joseph’s while in a double header in Clarecastle Inagh Kilnamona meet Clooney Quin and Newmarket on Fergus take on Tulla.

The B championship also gets underway with four matches on Saturday.
