Fermanagh are believed to have lodged an official postponement request for their Allianz Football League Division 2 clash with Clare this weekend.

The preparations of the Lakeland county have been thrown in to disarray for the game, as they will be missing up to 17 players due to a COVID-19 outbreak among the squad.

Clare boss Colm Collins, meanwhile, has reiterated that he is not in favour of a walkover of the game and would prefer the match be played at a later stage.

It’s already a tight window for the Banner, who play Armagh in the league next weekend, followed by Tipperary in the Munster championship eight days later.

Clare FM understands the postponement request has been lodged by the Ulster county; but it is unlikely the GAA will accept it.
