Feakle’s bid for a historic first Munster club hurling final just came up short as Cork side Sarsfields ran out winners in SuperValu Pairc ui Chaoimh.

Eight points of a margin is not a true reflection of the contest, but it materialised thanks to a storming closing quarter from the home side.
Eibhear Quilligan’s penalty levelled the sides at 1-13 each with 35 minutes on the clock, as Feakle fought back from a four point half time deficit.
With just over ten minutes to go, they were still deadlocked at 1-17 each, but it was Sarsfields who finished best with the last eight scores of the game to book their place in the final against Ballygunner.
