Clare man Kieran Fallon has emerged as one of the favourites to replace Johnny Murtagh after he quit as stable jockey to Aidan O’Brien.
Speculation over Murtagh’s future has been rife for weeks after Ballydoyle failed to win a British Classic or a single 2-year old race in the UK this year.

Fallon is amongst a host of top jockeys in line to line replace Murtagh with Pat Smullen the bookie’s favourite to take over at the famous Tipperary outfit.
