Faint Hope For Clare Ladies Footballers As Focus Turns To Sligo

Clare’s ladies footballers’ still have faint hopes of Intermediate championship glory this morning following yesterday’s victory over Laois.

The Banner produced a lightning quick start in Clonmel, raising the green flag three times in the first 15 minutes, and eventually running out 5-7 to 1-11 winners.

It means Clare must now beat Sligo this Sunday, and hope Laois can do them a favour by beating Kildare, for them to stand any chance of topping their group and advancing to the semi finals.
