Fahy Confident Of Bright Future For Young Banner Stars Despite U20 Disappointment

Clare U20 hurling manager Terence Fahy is confident there is a bright future for his players as they move on to senior level.

A second defeat in the group stages ended Clare’s interest in this years competition at the grade, with Cork sealing a 1-19 to 1-17 win at O’Garney Park Sixmilebridge.

Shane Meehan, Cian Galvin and Patrick Crotty are among those who will now focus on Clare’s Munster senior hurling championship campaign, with a number of their team mates in the U20 panel expected to make the step up in the coming years.

Fahy says while they were punished for not seeing games out this year, there is plenty talent there for Clare hurling fans to look forward to viewing
