The chairman of the Munster Council has said they had no option but to play extra time in Sunday's Munster Club Hurling Final.

Cratloe and Kilmallock finished level after 60 minutes, but the Clare champions were then beaten in the extra time.
In the aftermath of the game, questions were asked as to why a replay wasn't called, given that the All-Ireland semi-finals won't be held until the New Year.
However, O'Callaghans Mills man and Chair of the Munster Council Robert Frost says that wasn't an option because of the GAA’s rules.
