Clareman Liam Jegou was part of the Irish team who won a silver medal in the C1 team category of the European Slalom Canoeing Championships in Prague this weekend.
Jegou, whose family hails from Ballyvaughan, was part of the three-man Irish team who finished second in the competition, trailing only Slovenia.

Earlier, Jegou finished fifteenth in the individual C1 competition.
He’s Ireland’s qualifier for the event at next year’s Tokyo Olympics.
