Ennistymon are into their first ever Clare Senior Football final after victory over Kilmurry Ibrickane in a rain-soaked Cusack Park this afternoon.
A goal helped Ennistymon to a one point lead at half time, while a second goal went towards extending their lead to five points, ten minutes into the second half.
However, they were held scoreless for the remaining twenty minutes as KIB edged themselves back into contention.
Eventually, the full time whistle came just in time to stall the defending Champions – and Ennistymon took the narrowest of victories – full time score was Ennistymon 2-6, Kilmurry Ibrickane 0-11.
Ennistymon will be joined by the winner of tomorrow’s Cratloe/St Joseph’s clash.
