Ennis swimming club was highly praised at this weekend’s Swim Ireland Annual Awards, held in Galway.
The club in Clare’s county town was named the Munster Region Club of the Year while member Clare McGrath was recognised as Volunteer of the year at a club and regional level.

Another member, Chris Bryan, who narrowly missed out on last year’s Olympic Games, was honoured as the Open Water Swimmer of the Year.
