Clare’s match-winning goal scorer says this time of the year is all about making the panel as competitive as possible ahead of the National Hurling League.

The Banner came from behind to beat Cork 1-20 to 0-21 on Saturday in their opening Munster League fixture in Cusack Park and another victory next week against Waterford will book a final place on January 13th.

Colin Guilfoyle came off the bench to get a 68th minute goal when Clare trailed by four points before Niall Deasy, Ryan Taylor and Cathal McInerney got injury time points.
