Eire Og ran out three point winners over Whitegate in their Senior B Group 2A clash in Shannon this evening after a tightly contested 60 minutes.
The townies suffered a major blow when they lost Shane O'Donnell in the third minute with a recurrance of his hamstring injury.
At half time the sides were level at 0-12 a piece.
Eire Og only pulled away in the final few minutes and it ended 0-21 to 0-18.
O'Donnell was making a return to action after a number of weeks out of action for both Club and County, and could now face another lengthy spell on the sidelines, putting his involvement in Clare's Munster championship Semi Final against either Cork or Waterford on June 15th in major doubt.
