Éire Óg have battled their way through the quarter final to become the second team set in stone for the 2023 TUS Clare senior football championship today.

It took extra time for Éire Óg to get the better of St. Joseph’s Doora Barefield in Cusack Park on a score line of 0-15 to 1-11.

The county town side began the derby the stronger but a James Curran goal at the death levelled it for St Joseph’s.

The tense affair remained close until the dying stages of extra time but a single point was the difference at the fulltime whistle.
