Eight Clare Players On Under-21 Team Of The Year

Eight members of the All-Ireland U21 winning Clare side have been named on the Bord Gáis Energy Under-21 Hurling team of the year.

Tubber goalkeeper Ronan Taaffe is named in the team, which has been announced this morning, along with Ballyea’s Paul Flanagan, Tulla’s David McInerney, Seadna Morey of Sixmilebridge and St. Joseph Doora/Barefield’s Alan O’Neill who all form part of the defence.

Clonlara’s Colm Galvin is in midfield, behind forwards Tony Kelly of Ballyea and Cratloe’s Podge Collins.

Collins and Kelly, as well as David McInerney and Colm Galvin, are among the six nominees for Player of the Year.
