One of Ireland's most iconic players, the 36-year-old has been forced to hang-up his boots after announcing that he won't be taking-up the second season of his contract with Shamrock Rovers.
After winning 100 caps for Ireland, the Dubliner signed an 18-month deal with Rovers in July but his appearances for the club were severely hampered by injury.
In a statement, Duff said: "my heart wants me to continue playing but my body has finally won the battle and told me to stop."
