Dual Commitments Present Fixtures Headache for Ballyea

Ballyea are through to the last four of the Senior Hurling Championship after they toppled 2011 champions Crusheen, but management of the senior B side admit the scheduling of fixtures is of huge concern ahead of tonight’s meeting.

The Clondegad footballers, many of whom play hurling with Ballyea, meet Cooraclare this weekend in Round 3 of the senior football championship.

Added to this Ballyea’s back room team are continuing to asses a thigh injury Paul Flanagan sustained in Saturdays win, while Tony Kelly, who contributed 10 points to that victory, has picked up a knock that will require some treatment ahead of the semi finals.

Robbie Hogan of Ballyea Management says the dual commitments of their players mean a worrying wait for fixture details.
