The Managing Director of Dromoland Castle says he’s expecting a strong field for the Women’s Irish Open Golf Tournament.

The tournament, which is supported by the Irish Government and Clare County Council, will be played at the Newmarket On Fergus Golf Club between September 22nd and 25th this year.

It will mark the first time that women’s professional golf will be played in the Republic of Ireland since 2012.

Mark Nolan says it’s early days in terms of commitment, but there’s already a lot of interest.
