Following on from recommendations made by the Hurling Review Committee, this year will see a new grade introduced to Clare club hurling with a Premier Intermediate championship.

The draw for the senior championship will see last years semi finalists seeded into their groups, with Feakle, Sixmilebridge, Cratloe and Inagh Kilnamona being kept apart.

In the senior football championship, Eire Óg, Kilmurry Ibrickane, Cratloe and Ennistymon are the seeded teams, but one of the groups will see two of those teams being drawn together.

The draws will also be held for the intermediate and Junior A championships in both codes, with all other grades being drawn at the June meeting of the board.

Tonight’s draw gets underway in Clareabbey from 8pm
