The draw for the quarter finals of the Clare Senior Football Championship will be made this evening.
The path to Jack Daly has become clearer following the weekends action.
Cratloe, Cooraclare and Kilmurry Ibrickane were already safely into the draw having won their opening two games.
They are joined in the winners pot by Clondegad, who needed extra time once more before beating parish neighbours Lissycasey in their replayed Round Two clash.
The other pot for tonight’s draw will contain some recent winners of the Jack Daly with St Josephs Miltown into the last eight after getting the better of O’Currys in a game that served no less than 11 goals.
Doonbeg battled past a stubborn Doora Barefield to move into the next round, while Eire Óg got the better of Corofin.
The other remaining place in this side of the draw won’t be known until Ennistymon and Lissycasey play in the final remaining Round Three tie.
In the battle for survival, Kilkee and Wolfe Tones will square off in the relegation final with the losers dropping to intermediate for 2018.
The draw gets underway this evening in Clareabbey from 6.15pm.
