Draw For Second Round Action In Clare Senior Football Championship

The draw for the next round of the Clare Senior Football has thrown up some intriguing ties. 

There are crucial derby battles ahead in both the winners and losers section.

The battle for survival in the top tier will see two teams given a chance to relegate their neighbours.

Eire Og have been paired with St Josephs Doora Barefield while Kilfenora square off with Corofin.

Elsewhere west Clare rivals Cooraclare and O’Currys go head to head, as do Kilmihil and Wolfe Tones.

The losers of these four games will drop to intermediate for 2019.

There are some mouth watering clashes in store in the winners section with Quarter Final spots up for grabs.

Chief among them will be Clondegad versus Cratloe while neighbours will battle when Ennistymon meet St Breckans.

Holders Kilmurry Ibrickane have been drawn against Lissycasey and Miltown take on Doonbeg.

All those games are set to be played on the weekend of September 1st
