Dramatic weekend of hurling action

The last four in the county senior hurling championship has been decided after a dramatic weekend of q-final action.

Holders Crusheen are safely through after they defeated Broadford by 1-24 to 0-10 and they will meet Kilmaley in the semi final after they beat  14 man Clonlara by 1-15 to 1-13 in Cusack park also on Sunday.

The other last four clash sees near neighbours Cratloe and Sixmilebridge meet after they came through their last eight games on Saturday beating Tulla and Inagh Kilnamona respectively.

Sixmilebridge boss Rusty Chaplin says he was happy his side were pushed to the limit by the combo:

Elsewhere and Eire Óg will meet Corofin or Ruan in the county intermediate final after their 17 points to 1-8 win over Parteen in Shannon.

The other semi will go to a replay after the last four clash between Corofin and Ruan ended in a draw.
