Doubts Over Allen’s Future As Limerick Boss

The Limerick County Board have confirmed that they met yesterday with John Allen and the rest of his senior hurling management team.

Limerick are hoping to convince the former Cork manager to continue in the job after leading them to this year’s Munster title.

The two sides will meet again over the weekend and county board chairman Oliver Mann hopes to be able to update the executive next Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Kildare footballers have yet to confirm what action if any they will take following the removal of Kieran McGeeny as manager.

The squad were due to meet last night to discuss the situation and formulate a response, a statement is expected today.
