Doonbeg Boss says side must up ante for semi finals

The manager of the Doonbeg footballers says his team have room for improvement ahead of their clash with St. Joseph’s in the county championship semi-finals.

The West Clare outfit won through to the last four with a 2-08 to 1-09 win over Eire Og yesterday, but had to come from behind having trailed by 5 points with 20 minutes to go.  The Townies played much of the game with 14 men, after the early dismissal of Sean O’Mara.

The match between Doonbeg and St. Joseph’s will be held in Miltown Malbay on Sunday.

The first semi-final, between Kilmurray Ibrickane and Kilrush, takes place in Doonbeg this Saturday.
