Eire Óg’s Manus Doherty says the feel-good factor around the squad has helped them build their winning run over the last few years.
The Townies are bidding to put senior football titles back-to-back for the first time in their history when they face Ennistymon in Sunday’s final.
Doherty was part of the Eire Og team who were crowned champions last year, before going on to impress with the county squad.
He says it has been an enjoyable experience and one he is hoping will continue in the coming years
Meanwhile former county star Laurence Healy feels the development of their younger players has been key to their run to the final.
The North Clare side will line out for Sunday’s final with a number of former underage county stars, with the likes of Cillian and Brendy Rouine having made the breakthrough at senior level.
Healy says the manner in which they have grown over the last few years has driven the squad to the next level
