An enthralling game went all the way to extra time where the Waterford side won by 1-13 to 2-8.

The sides couldn't be seperated throughout, with the score after normal time reading Cratloe 2-7 The Nire 1-10.

In the opening half, a Cathal McInerney goal was answered in kind by Conor Gleeson for the Nire, before Conor Ryan raised Cratloes second green flag. The Waterford men never panicked, and it was Gleeson who struck for a late point to send the game to extra time.

Two late points for the Deise outfit in the second period of extra time were enough to see them through, with the focus for the Clare champions now turning to next weekends Munster Club Hurling Final against Kilmallock in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.
