Deise Confident Ahead of Clare Clash

Waterford hurler Kevin Moran says there's no reason why the Deise cannot beat Clare when the sides meet this Sunday.

Waterford travel to Cusack Park this Sunday, knowing that they left the county grounds with a one-point win in the same fixture last year.

Clare went onto get revenge in the Championship, en route to lifting the Liam McCarthy Cup, but Moran says that won't stop them gunning for victory on Sunday.

Cork and Tipperary have booked their places in the Munster Under-21 semi-finals. 

Cork overcame Kerry by 18 points to 2-08 in Trallee while Tipp beat Waterford 19 points to 2-3 in Dungarvan.

That means the Premier will take on Clare in the semis in Miltown Malbay next Wednesday.

In the preliminary round of the Connacht Under-21 championship Roscommon beat Mayo 4-10 to 1-8  in Castlebar. 

In the Leinster quarter-final replay, Meath ran out six point winners over Louth after a late flurry of scores. 

1-13 to 10 points the final score .

Niall Deasy scored a hat-trick as Ballyea moved into the semi-final of the Clare Under-21 Hurling Championship, beating Clarecastle  4-15 to 0-8
