Clare Selector Mike Deegan has dismissed any suggestion that the banner will have it all their own way against Laois in Sunday's League Quarter Final.
The sides last met in the Championship Qualifiers last year, when Clare won by twenty points.
However, they need only look to 2011 for a reminder of the Laois threat, as they beat Clare through a late Willie Hyland goal in that year’s League.
The All-Ireland champions are hot favourites for Sunday's game, but Deegan says they need to remain focussed.
Elsewhere, the Cork hurlers make six changes to their side for Sunday's Allianz National League quarter-final against Tipperary.
Corner-back Damien Cahalane gets his first senior start of the season as Jimmy Barry Murphy has named a new-look full-back line.
