A decision on the grades to be played in the 2021 Clare Club Championship has been further delayed by the County Board.

The GAA last week confirmed that the County and Provincial Club Championships will be held from September to December.

It was hoped yesterday’s County Board meeting could provide clarity on the holding of U-19, U-20 or U-21 grades in Clare this year, but Chairman Jack Chaplin delayed the decision until at least next month until there was more certainty on the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions.

Club delegates were also reminded that group training is not yet prohibited, following on from high profile breaches by intercounty teams elsewhere in the country.
